My Story

 

Hello and welcome to my home pâtisserie!

My name is Jérôme Viard. I am French and I have more than 13 years experience in kitchens across Cambridge and Newmarket. I have worked in luxurious 4 Star Hotels and Rosette Restaurants as Head Pastry Chef and was responsible for the daily production of plated desserts, cakes, bread, afternoon tea, chocolates and confectionery, plus centrepieces and displays. I am used to catering for intimate dining experience as well as providing exquisite food for larger number such as business function and wedding celebrations. 

 

I am classically trained in Patisserie and Confectionery from the best culinary school in the country, Westminster College in London, and graduated with Distinction in 2013. 

Amongst a panoply of other certifications, I have a Level 3 in Food Safety and Hygiene for Supervisors and I am committed to the upmost standards of hygiene in my kitchen. Our kitchen has been inspected by the local authority and achieved the maximum Food Hygiene Rating of 5 out of 5.

 

I am so very passionate about my work, always wanting to excel in my creations. Becoming a Pastry Chef has enabled me to express my creative side and it has materialised in beautiful and flavoursome dishes and cakes. 

I always look into using local and seasonal products as much as I can. I am very conscious about the stresses on our environment and always produce and package my creations with the aim to reduce wastage, reduce my carbon footprint, recycle and support my local businesses.
